Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background Catheter ablation is an increasingly used treatment option for patients with recurrent ventricular tachycardia (VT) or electrical storm (ES). The QDOT Micro (QDOT) (Biosense Webster) a novel radiofrequency catheter that was found to allow rapid and effective pulmonary vein isolation among atrial fibrillation. There no published data on the safety efficacy VT using catheter, few direct comparison different technologies in this setting. Purpose assess outcomes CA structural heart disease compare them those observed Thermocool Smarttouch (TC-ST, Biosense catheter. Methods we conducted dual-center, observational, prospective study enrolling VT/ES undergoing For comparison, performed 1:1 propensity score matching identify who underwent TC-ST nearest neighbor method. Propensity based gender, age, etiology disease, left ejection fraction, storm, number previous CAs VT. primary outcome freedom from VT, as assessed by implantable defibrillator (ICD) interrogation; in-hospital complications. Results Forty propensity-matched were included analysis (QDOT, n=20; TC-ST, n=20); baseline clinical characteristics are resumed Table. After median follow-up 7 months, survival free any measured 74 (95% CI, 57-97)% 69 51-93)% groups, respectively (log-rank p=0.54, Figure A), while ICD shocks 95 86-100)% versus 84 69-100)% p=0.26, B). major complications group, three (15%) had event (p=0.23; femoral pseudoaneurysm, n=1; cardiac tamponade, aortic cusp perforation, n=1). Conclusion In cohort ES, similar compared Interestingly, procedural suggesting device may be safe even most challenging patients.

Comparison of the Efficacy of PGE2 Suppository and Cervical Foley Catheter with Pre-induction Ripening of the Cervix
Background: An increasing success in induction of labor and subsequent termination of pregnancy in presence of unfavorable cervix requires cervical ripening in order to reduce complications and to diminish the rate of cesarean sections as well as the duration of labor. However, there is no consensus on the efficiency of conventional methods for cervical ripening. Objective: To determine and co...
متن کاملa comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection
supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

Background: Energy deficit is a common and serious problem in pediatric intensive care units. Parenteral nutrition, either alone or in combination with enteral nutrition, can improve nutrient delivery in critically ill patients by preventing or correcting the energy deficit and improving the outcomes. Intralipid 10% and 20% are lipid emulsions, widely used in parenteral nutrition. Despite sever...
متن کاملAntibacterial Modification of Intravascular Catheter Surface for the Prevention of Catheter-Associated Infection
Objective: Intravascular catheter-associated infection has been increasing hospitalization in post-surgery patients mainly due to microbial colonization of the catheter surface and formation of a superficial biofilm layer. The present study is aimed in developing an effective antibacterial device which can prevent colonization of organisms by modification of catheter. Methods: In the present st...
متن کاملComparing Safety and Efficacy of Irrigated Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation Versus Combined Cryoballoon and Catheter Ablation for Persistent Atrial Fibrillation.
Background: Catheter and cryoballoon ablation are established treatments for atrial fibrillation. Frequently, substrate modification of the left atrium is performed in patients with persistent AF or evidence of left atrial adverse remodeling. We compared one year outcomes of AF ablation with substrate modification utilizing radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFA) compared to a combination of cry...
